Moreover, WETEC as the joint association has the greatest advantage to present the common views and approaches of wet-felted product manufacturers with reference to their technical, quality and safety standards and regulations to the Commission and relevant institutions and organizations.

WETEC was founded on 2nd March 2007 in Frankurt, Germany.
The current WETEC headquarter is in Munich, Germany.

Structural Organization of WETEC

Product | Description

WETEC member companies are recognized as leading manufacturers of wet-felted products, i.e. wet-felted mineral boards are used as membranes of suspended ceilings as well as door inlays, wall claddings, partition fillers and wall and ceiling elements.

Mineral boards (wet-felt) essentially consist of mineral wool, clay, perlite and starch as fillers and binders. Those are mixed with the use of water (auxiliary) to produce a slurry, which is form to a board and dried. The products are produced by using the traditional wet-felt process.

The various surface finishes from smooth to perforated patterns are used in offices, hotels, shopping centres and malls, hospitals, schools, etc.

WETEC member companies offer a wide range of products and systems for nearly all type of buildings with varied functions. They are suitable for every purpose: acoustic, fire protection, thermal insulation, clean room applications, humidity, light reflectance, etc.

Further details, including material performance values and technical specifications, can be provided by the WETEC members.
